THE POWER OF GOD’S WORD
It was 1982 when Art Byers, a man I worked with, gave me a Bible and encouraged me to read it. At that time, I had about a 7th grade reading level and the old English KJV was far
beyond my comprehension. So I put that sacred book away in a special place on my bookshelf. But Art was persistent. He often asked if I was reading it.

One thing I have learned throughout three decades of missionary service in the nursing homes is that Jesus is faithful to His word. He said, “Ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you”. This word “you” is talking about me! But Jesus first said, “If you abide in me and my words abide in you…”
