God answers my prayers, but usually, it does not happen fast. It often takes much more time than anticipated; sometimes years... Prayer is like watering a garden ~ you can see instant results in the dryness of the soil; a refreshing and brightening of the leaves is almost instantaneous. But fruitfulness takes time... Sometimes much more time.

A Time of Celebration & Vision
On November 5th at 6:30 p.m., friends and supporters of God Cares Ministry will be
gathering in Broadview Heights for our 20th Anniversary Fundraising Banquet. I am so excited to celebrate two decades of God’s unfailing goodness and to share the vision for the future of God Cares Ministry with you.
July – August 2015 Newsletter
Our annual Legacy Picnic to bless nursing home residents and staff was held on July 24th. We had 134 residents and 55 staff attend the festivities - with music, a picnic lunch, the limbo, “dancing” ...even ice cream treats fresh off the ice cream truck!

What a joy it is to gather with Christians who love the Lord and who love each other! As we joined together in May, at our 14th annual volunteer banquet (PowerNight), we worshipped and celebrated the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness to his servants in nursing home ministry.

A Miracle Happened Last Week...
As we entered the community room of the memory care unit, the residents were subdued and drowsy. Some appeared troubled and worried. One lady looked up at me, her face creased with anxiety, and asked if I had seen her father. When I said, “No, I’m sorry, I haven’t seen him,” her face fell and she wanted to leave to find him. . .
