Jesus said, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
THE POWER OF GOD’S WORD
It was 1982 when Art Byers, a man I worked with, gave me a Bible and encouraged me to read it. At that time, I had about a 7th grade reading level and the old English KJV was far

One thing I have learned throughout three decades of missionary service in the nursing homes is that Jesus is faithful to His word. He said, “Ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you”. This word “you” is talking about me! But Jesus first said, “If you abide in me and my words abide in you…”
